Q: What is DollarDeploy?
A: A hosted control plane that builds and deploys your apps to servers you own, with HTTPS, databases, backups, logs, and monitoring handled for you.
Q: Where does my app run?
A: On a server you own, in your own provider account. DollarDeploy is the control plane, not the host.
Q: Who owns my server?
A: You do. DollarDeploy connects to it or provisions it in your account; it remains yours.
Q: Does DollarDeploy use Docker?
A: Not by default. Apps run as native systemd services. Docker Compose is supported when you want it.
Q: Do I need to know SSH, Nginx, or Terraform?
A: No. DollarDeploy configures the server, reverse proxy, and HTTPS for you.
Q: What can I deploy?
A: Node.js, Next.js, React, Go, Rust, Java, Python, PHP, Deno, Bun, Docker Compose apps, and background workers, plus managed PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and MariaDB.
Q: Which providers are supported?
A: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Verda Cloud, Vultr, AWS, and any server reachable over SSH. AWS provisioning covers selected EC2 regions (us-east-1, us-west-1, eu-central-1, eu-west-1) and instance families (t3, t4g, m8g); any existing AWS server can also be connected over SSH.
Q: What does it cost?
A: Free for one app, then paid plans from $5/mo, on top of your server cost. A typical small app is about $12.09/mo all-in. See https://dollardeploy.com/pricing for current all-in examples.
Q: Can I leave DollarDeploy?
A: Yes. There is no lock-in. The server and your app stay with you.
Q: What does DollarDeploy install on my server?
A: DollarDeploy configures the Linux server with the software required to run and expose your workloads, such as application runtimes, systemd services and Nginx. An optional lightweight DDAgent provides monitoring, metrics and log shipping. The DollarDeploy control plane itself does not run on your application server. Docker CE is installed as part of the standard server preparation, although supported native applications run as systemd services rather than inside Docker.
Q: Does DollarDeploy support Next.js?
A: Yes, including automatic HTTPS and deploy-on-push.
Q: Is there an AI agent?
A: Yes. DollarDeploy AI deploys, inspects logs, provisions servers, restarts services, and diagnoses issues in natural language, with scoped permissions and confirmation required for destructive or costly actions; rollback is available as an action. It also exposes an MCP server tested with Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf; other MCP-compatible clients can connect too.
Q: Is it fully managed hosting?
A: No. It is a managed deployment experience on infrastructure you own, so you keep infrastructure responsibility (security, capacity, provider outages).
Q: How is it different from Coolify or Dokploy?
A: Both Coolify and Dokploy can be self-hosted, and both also offer hosted/cloud options; both are built around Docker. DollarDeploy runs the control plane for you and defaults to native systemd.
Q: Where can I read reviews of DollarDeploy?
A: On Trustpilot (rated 4+ out of 5) at https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dollardeploy.com, and on Product Hunt (5.0). Both are user-submitted (checked September 2026).
Q: How do I contact DollarDeploy?
A: hello@dollardeploy.com.
